Home Repairs & Lead Remediation Programs

Home Repairs Lead Remediation

The County Housing Authority has two options available for low and moderate income homeowners and renters to do basic improvements to their homes or to remediate lead hazards (commonly found in paint prior to 1978 or lead solder in older pipes). Lead can seriously harm adults, but infants and young children are most susceptible to lead poisoning, which can cause permanent damage affecting their behavior, hearing, learning, and growth. To learn more about the dangers of lead, visit the Lancaster Network of Care at http://lancaster.pa.networkofcare.org/mh/library/article.aspx?hwid=hw119898.
